Nemaha County Clerk
The county clerk's duties include recording all proceedings of the board of
commissioners and attend all the meetings. They also must attend and record the minutes for all meetings of the
County Board of Equalization. The clerk must attest to all warrants issued by the board which
have been signed by the chairman. The clerk must keep a record of all
the official bonds. Records the layout of, changes and improvements to all roads.
The county clerk may also appoint a deputy for whose acts the clerk will
be responsible. The clerk is in charge of issuing marriage licenses and issuing
car titles.
